Speech Contest

Each year Right to Life of Indianapolis holds a Speech Contest for 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. The contest is open to students who reside in Marion County, or any of the bordering counties. Although 10th grade students are allowed to participate, only students in the 11th and 12th years are permitted to advance to the state competition.

This year's competition was held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Lumen Christi Catholic School, Indianapolis.

Congratulations to the 2010 Right to Life Speech Contest Winners!

1st place: Ross Smith, Grade 10
Cornerstone Academy, Heritage Homebuilders

2nd place: Taylor Whittier, Grade 11
Homeschool

3rd place: Richard Rainwater, Grade 12
Heritage Christian School

4th place: Pandu Putra, Grade 11
Zionsville Community High School

Because this year's winner was a tenth grader, and only 11th and 12th graders are eligible to compete at the state level, the 2nd place winner, Taylor Whittier, will represent Right to Life of Indianapolis at the Indiana Right to Life State Speech Contest..

If the first place winner is home-schooled, the prize will go to the local, state, or national home school organization of the winner's choice.
